Help me bring your voice to City Hall.
On October 22nd, vote for Melanie O’Brien.
London is my community, I am proud to live here and raise my family. London is full of opportunity and experience for people from all walks of life to enjoy.
While London has many fantastic features and attractions, it also has its struggles. This past Council has removed the seniors discount on bus tickets, making life more unaffordable for seniors to get around the city. Our bus system is not getting people to where they need to be for jobs, appointments, and shopping, in many parts of the city. I have heard many complaints that the much needed buses are too full during the rush hours, passing them by as they are forced to wait for the next one or take a cab. Many of our streets are not friendly to cyclists.
There is a 7 year wait list for geared to income housing through the City, and the housing that is available for people is not cared for, causing them to look substandard. The drug addiction crisis is overwhelming. Ward 1 is missing out on community improvement funds, and is one of the last on the list for infrastructure funding. There are many empty and abandoned buildings, making our streets look poor, and unappealing for possible shopping and tourism.
What we are doing is not working. We can do better. I want to take the next step and represent Londoners, I want to represent you. Help me bring your voice to City Hall. On October 22nd, vote for Melanie O’Brien.
